The symbol of the Freemasons is borrowed from the stonemasons. It refers to the Philosophical building. Although individual groups have different interpretations for the symbol.

There is no specific meaning when it comes to the Freemasons. Every member has the freedom to accept their own interpretation. For instance, there should be a belief in the Supreme Being. That supreme being can be Christian God, Islamic God or any other religion.
